Mobility Help

A motorized cart, wheelchair, and a rolling walker are available in the lobby to aid patrons who need extra help getting around the library. To borrow the motorized cart, stop by the Hospitality Desk to pick up a key and get a quick driving lesson.

Low Vision Help

Optelec Print Enlarger: A low-vision reader is located in Adult Services with the public computers. Ask for assistance at the Reference Desk.


SARA Reader: Reads text aloud in a high-quality voice. Available in Adult Services for use in the library.


Zoom Text: Software installed on a public computer that enlarges the text on the computer monitor.


JAWS Screen Reading Software: Developed for computer users whose vision loss prevents them from seeing screen content, JAWS reads aloud what's on the PC screen. Located in Adult Services.


Handheld Magnification Devices: Available at the Adult Services Reference Desk for use in the library.
