The Athena Leadership Award celebrates exemplary leadership and is presented to women across professional sectors who have accomplished the following: demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession; provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in their community, and activity assist women in achieving their full leadership potential. The Athena Leadership Award's rich history, international scope and focus on mentorship, distinguishes it as one of the most prestigious leadership awards that one can receive.
Join us in honoring the following seven women who are nominated for their distinguished contributions: Bonnie Conte, Marlene Frykman, Karrie Gibson, Dee Dee Johnson, Eleanor Sweet McDonnell, Ellaine Sambo-Reyther and Jane Svensson Washburn. Hands-on class designed for entrepreneurs with little experience working with QuickBooks. Topics include: setting up a new company, accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions, bank reconciliation, credit card reconciliation, running basic financial reports, tracking and paying sales tax. Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to work on their QuickBooks file during the session.

The Careers College, job search training and career resource center, is a great resource to help you at any step of your job search process. With The Careers College, you can take classes about overcoming job loss, preparing for an interview, and starting a new job. You can also find out what careers best match your skillsets and work history, as well as formulate your Return On Investment to negotiate for a higher salary. This resource is free with your Barrington Area Library card. Access it here.
