Policies regarding using and reserving these rooms have changed. Please read the following policies carefully before proceeding to make an online reservation. Thank you.

 


Conference Room

 

This 10-person Conference Room is available inside the Business Lounge on the first floor.

• Reservations may be made one week in advance by Barrington Area Library cardholders.

• The lounge may be reserved for a maximum of two hours. Use may be extended if lounge is not reserved.

• A 6 person minimum is required for reserving this room.

• Reservations will be held for 10 minutes, after which the entire period reserved will be forfeited.

• The business lounge may not be used for meetings, programs or events involving the sale, advertising, solicitation or promotion of commercial products or services with the exception of programs sponsored by the Barrington Area Library.

• The business lounge will be available for open seating for library users if the room is not reserved.

Study Rooms

 

Study rooms are available to individuals and groups that need a place to work on projects, engage in small meetings, or hold group study sessions.

 

• Reservations may be made one week in advance by Barrington Area Library cardholders.

 

• A room may be reserved for a maximum of two hours. Use may be extended if room is not reserved.

 

• Reservations will be held for 10 minutes, after which the entire period reserved will be forfeited.

 

• Non-Barrington Area Library cardholders may use rooms on a walk-in basis for one hour. Use may be extended if room is not reserved.

 

• Room capacity: Study Room A (second floor)– 6 | Study Room B (second floor) - 4 | Study Room C (first floor) - 3

Business Cubicles

 

• Reservations may be made one week in advance by Barrington Area Library cardholders.

 

• A cubicle may be reserved for a maximum of two hours. Use may be extended if cubicle is not reserved.

 

• Reservations will be held for 10 minutes, after which the entire period reserved will be forfeited.

 

• Non-Barrington Area Library cardholders may use cubicles on a walk-in basis for one hour. Use may be extended if cubicle is not reserved.

 

• Room capacity: 1 person

media:scape Rooms

The media:scape rooms are similar to small study rooms, but they include technology that allows users to connect up to six different devices to a large, shared monitor, for creative collaboration.

• Reservations may be made one week in advance by Barrington Area Library cardholders.

• A room may be reserved for a maximum of two hours. Use may be extended if room is not reserved.

• Reservations will be held for 10 minutes, after which the entire period reserved will be forfeited.

• Non-Barrington Area Library cardholders may use rooms on a walk-in basis for one hour. Use may be extended if room is not reserved.

• Room capacity: media:scape FORUM (first floor) – 6, media:scape LOUNGE (first floor) – 8, media:scape BAR (second floor) – 6.

Studio 1

The studio is open to individuals and groups going into 9th grade and older to work on projects requiring the use of the equipment.

• Reservations may be made one week in advance by Barrington Area Library cardholders.

• The studio may be reserved for a maximum of two hours. Use may be extended if the room is not reserved.

• Reservations will be held for 10 minutes, after which the entire period reserved will be forfeited.

• Non-Barrington Area Library cardholders going into 9th grade & older may use Studio 1 on a walk-in basis for one hour. Use may be extended if room is not reserved.

YA Game Room

• Reservations may be made one week in advance by Barrington Area Library cardholders for use by patrons going into 9th grade and older.

• The room may be reserved for a maximum of two hours. Use may be extended if the room is not reserved.

• Reservations will be held for 10 minutes, after which the entire period reserved will be forfeited.

• Non-Barrington Area Library cardholders going into 9th grade & older may use the gaming room on a walk-in basis for one hour. Use may be extended if room is not reserved.
