The State of Illinois Comptroller's Office presents a workshop on identity theft and credit cards. Learn how to identify potential scams and frauds and protect and prepare yourself against identity theft. If you have been a victim of identity theft, bring your questions and concerns. The second half of the workshop will address how to comparision shop for credit cards, better understand your credit card statements, and review your credit scores and history.

About the speaker: Thomas Lydon provides financial literacy and consumer protection programs for the Illinois State comptroller's Consumer Affairs Department. Prior to his current position he was a HUD Approved Financial Counselor and has over 20 years' experience in finance and banking.
