Description: Please join us as we introduce our library's newest job search database: The Careers College, a career services program that provides online job search courses and tools along with a virtual career resource center dedicated to helping job seekers, college undergraduates and graduates, and individuals in transition land the ideal job in any economy.
Dave Gladstein, Director of Business Strategy and Content Development for The Careers College will present an overview of what it takes to be effective in today's job search and demonstrate how The Careers College provides the education and tools required to compete in today�s job market.
The demo will include a brief overview of the ten learning modules which includes, but is not limited to: - Building confidence and the emotional aspect of the job search - Exploring career opportunities - Development of marketing skills (beyond the resume) - Conducting the job search (beyond the on-line job boards) - Networking strategies (including LinkedIn and other social media sites) - Interview skills (preparation, logistics and follow-up)
The demonstration will also provide the audience with a feel for the comprehensiveness of the system, its flexibility and ease of use.
