Gallery in the LIbrary
Created in 1979, the Gallery in the Library hosts six to twelve exhibits per year, each typically spanning three to seven consecutive weeks. While the Gallery has long been a part of our community, exhibitions were interrupted by the loss of the Barrington Area Arts Council. The space was reinvigorated in 2009 with the addition of two local curators, Lisa Swarbrick and Kelly Stachura. With additional space, a new look, and the Walker Display system, the Gallery in the Library hosts the work of local artists in a variety of two-dimensional media. Gallery in the Library is located on the library's first floor and is open to the public.
