Major Book Sales

The Friends sponsor two major book sales each year: the next sale will take place on June 16-17, 2012. Please, no electronic scanning devices at the sales.

These sales take a lot of work, and the Friends are in great need of adult and teen volunteers in the weeks before and days after the sale. Please contact the Friends via email at: Friends@balibrary.org if you are interested in assisting them with next year's book sales. Even a few hours of your time will be appreciated.

Ongoing Sales

The Friends also maintain book carts that always offer items for sale at several places around the Barrington Communities. These are also maintained by volunteers. Locations are:

• The entry foyer of the library
• The Good Shepherd Fitness Center
• The Barrington Park District Fitness Center
• Good Shepherd Hospital Outpatient Area
• Tropical Smoothie Restaurant off of Hough Street
• Good Shepherd Hospital Front Admissions Area
• Barrington Metra Train Station
• South Barrington Park District Fitness Center
