Mrs. R. Castle of Chicago visited her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Filkins, Saturday and Sunday.

Mrs. F. J. Buck of Chicago, was here one day last week.

A cottage prayer meeting was held at the residence of Mr. H. A. Harnden, Wednesday evening.

Mr. A. V. H. Kimberly fell and cut his hand quite badly last Monday.

Harry Vermilya is taking a vacation.

Mr. J. Rose visited his sister, Mrs. Howarth, last Friday.

The W. F. M. Society meet at the home of Mrs. William Rogers Saturday afternoon of this week.

Miss Mellisa Houghtaling is visiting friends at Elgin.

Mr. Arthur Hendrickson of Barrington Center visited at Mr. J. W.
Kingsley’s recently.

Miss Effie Runyan closed her school Saturday evening with an entertainment.

Get ready for a No. 1 Social at the G.A. R. Hall Saturday evening, March 12,
given by the W. R. C. ladies.

The W. R. C. will hold their next meeting Wednesday evening, March 9, at
7 o’clock p.m. sharp.

Mr. W. Smiley spent Sunday at Elgin.

Miss Allie White of Cullon is a guest at Mr. J. W. Kingsley’s.

Rev. G. A. Wells called on friends here this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Howarth went to Carpentersville last week to attend
the funeral of Mrs. Howarth’s sister.

The Woman’s Relief corps will give a sociable the third and fourth Saturday of each month at their hall. A short entertainment and social games will be the order of the evening.

The regular meeting of the Modern Woodmen of America will be held
Saturday evening, March 5.  All members are requested to be present at
this meeting.

The Barrington Military band will give a concert at Lamey’s hall, Thursday evening, March 10, which will be a rare musical treat.  Tickets 25 cents.  Reserved seats 35 cents, for sale at William Grunan’s barber shop.

All tax payers in the Town of Cuba are requested to pay their taxes (if
unpaid) at M. T. Lamey’s office, on or before Saturday, March 5, 1892.

some horses on Hawley Bros. stock farm.

Mr. J. C. Dole has sold his farming implements and household goods and is going to Texas for his health.
