Sayles, Nathaniel. (The inscription is incomplete. In addition this is only a memorial stone, he died during the Civil War and is actually buried in Corinth National Cemetery in Corinth, Mississippi.)

Son of S. & S. Sayles, Aged 26 yrs. 10 m., September 8, 1863, Member of Co. E, 113th Reg. IVI (Illinois Volunteer Infantry).

(Age not distinguishable, appears to be 20 something.)

(It clearly says children in the photo but only one name is on the stone.  The parents are Alpheus and Margaret Sayles; he is the son of Sumner and Sally above.)
