Window on Barrington
The Barrington area has been through big changes since the library opened in
1915. Through it all, we’ve been at the center of our community, providing you
with information, feeding your imaginations, and giving the organizations that
have shaped our way of life space to meet and plan.
“Window on Barrington” is a series of programs and events
about collecting and telling your stories. By recording your recollections of
everyday and world-changing events, together we can capture and preserve a
picture of life in our community for residents in years to come.
Telling My Story / Memories on CD
Write or tell your memories about life in our community for the library’s local
history collection. Written stories may be published on the library web site; if you'd prefer to
share your story in person, you'll receive a CD to take home.
To schedule a session, call Rose Faber, Head of Adult Services, at 847-382-1300;

Here are some questions to refresh your memory.
