Library Clubs for Kids

Complete a variety of reading activities to earn fun rewards. Library clubs are a great way to maintain reading skills when school isn’t in session, or to encourage free reading.

October 1 - December 30:
Marge Luther School Days and the Playful Learning Challenge!
For students in grades K-3.

Celebrate the start of a new school year with our annual Marge Luther Back-to-School programs for kids in kindergarten through third grade.

Visit the newly renovated Youth Services department and complete our Playful Learning Challenge to open the library treasure chest. Return two more times and pick out a free book to take home. Join the School Days Reading Club and complete 50 books by December 30 to receive your personalized READ poster (also displayed on library screens until January 31). Program funded by an endowment from former Barrington teacher, Marge Luther.

Summer Library Club - Paws To Read

Summer Library Club 2014 has ended. We'll let you know soon how many books were read!

In an unprecedented achievement, we've had a TIE for Summer Library Club champions this year:
Congratulations to the students of Barbara B. Rose Elementary School in South Barrington, and the students of Grove Avenue Elementary School in Barrington! Both schools will receive a trophy for their awesome reading accomplishments!
