From the Village of Barrington:

The Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project construction will move to Main Street on Monday, July 10th.

Main Street will be CLOSED for up to four weeks, starting at 4am, Monday, July 10th. The road will be FULLY CLOSED to all traffic from just past Spring Street up to and including Wool Street (Main Street to Station Street). A signed detour will route traffic around this closure utilizing Route 14 (Northwest Highway) and Route 59 (Hough Street). Pedestrian routes will be maintained and signed adjacent to the Main Street closure. The North Commuter Parking Lot will be accessible from both Spring Street (off Main Street) and Klingenburg Road (off Northwest Highway) but NOT from Wool Street (off Main Street). Residences and Businesses along this closure have been provided written notification. Please note that overnight work along Main Street is scheduled throughout this closure.

Additionally, a small portion of the North Commuter Lot and Wool Street (Station Street to Klingenburg Road) will be closed starting Tuesday, July 11th at 1 a.m. (after the removal of the brat tent) and this area will be fenced and utilized for construction staging for at least the next few months. Flyers with this information will be placed on the windshields of all cars parked in the North Commuter Parking Lot this Friday (7/7) and Monday (7/10).

As a result of this work, the street lighting along the south side of Main Street between Hough and Route 14 will be off starting tonight for approximately four weeks due to construction. The street lighting on the north side of the roadway in this area will remain on.

Any updates to closure timelines and impending closure movements will be provided via email. You can sign up for the e-mail alerts on this subject on the Village website. All work is weather dependent and the timeline and progression may be altered as necessary.
